The London Intercontinental Park Lane was one of the few hotels on my trip that came out to free.99 thanks to IHG Free Nights Certificates and points.¬†Although I didn’t take many pictures of the room, in my defense there wasn’t much room to take a picture of! The Intercontinental Park Lane London has been recently renovated and the lobby is lovely. My room was upgraded to a London Deluxe room with a view of Hyde Park on account of my Spire Elite (funny name) status. Sadly there was no free breakfast benefit, but beggars can’t be choosers. The stop in London was fairly short, just one day on each side of my Paris stop for around-the-world 2016. But because the hotel is centrally located, I was able to accomplish many essential tourist activities.

The London Deluxe room is basically a classic room that is on a higher floor, slightly larger and has a view of the city or park. I was lucky enough to secure a Hyde Park view and the weather was so gorgeous I was inspired to go out for a stroll. The room was small, but they usually go for almost five hundred (500) British pounds a night. And since around-the-world 2016 was before the Brexit, it would have been even more unaffordable. I didn’t stay long in the room, making sure to take the long route around Hyde Park on my way to the London Eye to take more scenic pictures.
